ASL (American Sign Language) Episodes

Nicole Baldwin
Nicole Baldwin is a Black Deaf educator, proud ASL signer, and passionate advocate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children — and she brings lived experience to everything she does.
Nicole knows firsthand what it means to navigate a world not always built with Deaf children in mind. She believes every DHH child deserves full, rich access to American Sign Language from the very beginning — because when children have access to their native language, everything else opens up.
On our YouTube channel, Nicole partners with Hanna, who interprets the audio so Nicole can experience each episode fully. Nicole then turns around and interprets the show in ASL for the Brownstone Buddies — making every episode accessible and joyful for Deaf and Hard of Hearing kids.
It's a true partnership, built on trust, language, and a shared love for these stories.

Hanna Weiss
Hanna Weiss is an EIPA-certified sign language interpreter who has been serving the Deaf community since 2017. She specializes in educational interpreting and has a passion for working with young learners — ensuring every child has the tools they need to communicate, connect, and thrive.
Hanna plays a vital role in making every episode accessible for our Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and non-verbal Brownstone Buddies. She listens to each podcast episode first, then interprets it for Nicole — who is Deaf — so that Nicole can bring the stories to life in ASL for the kids. It's a true partnership, built on trust, language, and a shared love for these stories.
Based in San Diego, Hanna enjoys playing rugby and spending time with her cat, Honey. Her love of yellow and her cheerful personality shine through in everything she does — on screen and off.
